Refund Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This policy covers the plans currently offered — Free, Solo, Freelancer and Agency, billed monthly through Stripe. It will be extended when annual billing becomes available.
1. Free plan
The Free plan requires no payment and can be used indefinitely within its limits. There's nothing to refund on this plan.
2. Monthly paid plans
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, starting on the day you subscribe.
- You can cancel at any time from your account's Subscription page. Cancelling stops future billing; you keep access to your current plan until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
- The current billing period is not refunded when you cancel partway through it — you keep using the Service for the remainder of that period instead.
- No refunds are given for partial months, or for a month in which you used fewer articles than your plan allows.
3. Upgrades and downgrades
- Upgrading takes effect immediately; Stripe may charge a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.
- Downgrading takes effect at the start of your next billing period. If your account holds more clients than the new plan allows, you'll be asked which clients to keep active — the rest become read-only (fully visible, no new content) until you free up a slot or upgrade again. Nothing is ever deleted as a result of downgrading.
4. Billing errors and exceptional refunds
If you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a cancellation that should have taken effect — contact us and we'll investigate and correct it, including a refund where appropriate. [Placeholder — exact discretionary-refund process to be confirmed by counsel.]
5. Annual billing (not yet available)
Annual billing is planned but not yet offered. When it launches, this policy will be updated with its own cancellation and switch-to-monthly terms before it goes live.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card provider — we can usually resolve a billing issue faster directly. [support/billing contact email — to be confirmed].
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, particularly as new billing options (like annual plans) launch. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
